ROLO – Mobile Water Storage Unit
ROLO is the flagship product developed by Mol-T Plastics. It is a mobile water storage unit designed to support households with limited, inconsistent, or distant access to water, from rural communities reliant on rivers, dams, communal taps, to urban and suburban households facing ongoing water shortages, where it can be refilled at water stations or via municipal deliveries and easily transported home for daily use.
With an 87-litre capacity, ROLO enables households to transport significantly more water in fewer trips by carrying over four times the volume of four standard 20-litre containers, with far less physical strain. It offers a safer, more efficient alternative to wheelbarrows stacked with loose containers, a method commonly used but often unstable and physically demanding.
ROLO is designed for ease and reliability. Once filled, the unit is securely sealed with an attached lid to reduce spillage and contamination. A built-in tap at the base allows for controlled dispensing, improving hygiene and minimising water waste. The tap is also compatible with a standard hosepipe, enabling ROLO to be used for both household consumption and small-scale garden irrigation, supporting food-growing initiatives that are common and essential in many rural homes.
