Mol-T Plastics (Pty) Ltd is a South African plastics manufacturing company committed to designing practical, purpose-driven products that respond to real challenges faced by everyday households.

 

Founded by Thabisa Moleshe, a Black woman entrepreneur, Mol-T Plastics was born from lived experience and close engagement with rural communities across the Eastern Cape. Through her work, Thabisa witnessed first-hand the daily realities of water collection. Long distances walked, multiple trips made and the disproportionate burden placed on women and young children to secure water for their households.

 

These journeys often come with hidden costs: physical strain, lost time, safety risks, and a loss of dignity caused by unreliable or non-existent water infrastructure. Rather than viewing water access as an abstract issue, Mol-T Plastics approaches it as a daily, human reality that demands practical, usable solutions.

 

This insight led to the conceptualisation of ROLO, a mobile water storage solution. Designed for households that rely on rivers, dams, communal taps, or shared water points, where water must be transported manually often several times a day.

 

Mol-T Plastics exists to bridge manufacturing capability with social insight and thoughtful design. Our focus is on creating products that are functional, durable, affordable, and deeply aligned with the realities of South African households not as temporary fixes, but as tools that support dignity, resilience and everyday life.
